EUSA visited University of Salerno
On February 3rd and 4th, 2025, a delegation of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) visited the University of Salerno in preparation for the European Universities Games, which will be held in Salerno in 2026. The delegation, including President Adam Roczek, Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik, and other EUSA officials, met with the Rector of the University of Salerno, Mr. Vincenzo Loia, the President of CUS Salerno, Mr. Lorenzo Lentini, and the Organizing Committee of the Games in several meetings. They discussed the activities planned for the 2026 EUG. The delegation visited the University of Salerno sports facilities and student residences, as well as some sports facilities in the municipalities of Baronissi, Pellezzano, and Mercato San Severino, where they met with local administrators, the Mayor of Baronissi, Anna Petta, the Deputy Mayor of Pellezzano, Michele Murino, and the Councilor of the Municipality of Mercato San Severino, Assunta De Simone.

Salerno, Italy, prepares to become the capital of European university sport! Exactly one year from today, the University of Salerno will welcome over 4,500 participants from around 40 European countries for the 8th edition of the European Universities Games (EUG).
